The streak is over

Yesterday would have been 140 days in a row of running 1 or more miles.  I didn't get to my run in the morning. I was finishing up Christmas shopping online.  It was "warmer" and It would have been a nice day for a long run.

I went about my day of work and running kids.  At some time in the morning, we got some rain that froze turning the ground into a skate park!.  After getting home, I changed into my running clothes.   And was on my way to go get kids from chess.  That's when it happened:  I slipped on the icy driveway.  I landed in my right knee, and smacked my forehead on the pavement.  I thought "Oh crap, I cracked my skull open.  I am going to need stitches..."

Then a minute later I tried to get up.  That's when I realized I couldn't bend my left hand!  Thankfully my husband was home to help me.  We went to the ER, got an X-ray and it was confirmed, I broke my wrist!  

We will call the orthopedic today to find out now what.  I will keep you all posted.
